The name and address of the previous owner was also included, probably by mistake, so it is clear that this box was a returned item and was subjected to additional handling. The shipment originated from Amazon.com Returns Center, Lexington, KY. The packing consisted of crushed paper, not the usual inflated rectangular plastic balloons. I've used lots of these TDK jewel cases. These jewel cases are still a good buy, but it seems to me the Returns Center should be aware that this kind of product needs better inspection and packing. None has broken in ordinary handling.Update 11/04-09 Just received a 50-pack box of TDK jewel cases from Amazon. They arrive nicely packed by Amazon and I've never received a broken one, unlike the situation with other sellers I've tried. Two were damaged.
The packaging was alittle better than the first time they sent them but it could of been better in terms of how they ship them to you. I called the company and they had re-sent another pack free of charge for the damage. Overall I managed to get 50+ cases that were in good condition out of the two packs I recieved. My CD cases were broken when I recieved them. 11 out of a 50pk.
Shipment arrived in a short time and other than the damage, the cases are fine. The cases are fragile and do not ship very well. About 6 of the 50 cases were damaged even though they were packaged adequately.
These slim line cases work great for these projects and they take up less space than commercial CD cases. I make a lot of CDs for other people.
Why don't they also advertise the storage stand so you can choose one or both depencing on your needs. If your not yet putting all your stuff on an external harddrive, these space saving beauties are the thing to have. -- of course you'll also need the stand up tower to put them in.
